Church Office Guidelines

The office staff is here to serve you. These guidelines are being provided to enable the office to support the church in its ministries. Please respect the office staff’s time of worship on Sunday mornings. If assistance is needed in reference to these guidelines, please do so during office hours including Wednesday evenings until 5 pm.

Scheduling Events and Activities

  • Please call the office to have your event scheduled and put on the calendar.
  • Scheduling Forms are available above and located by the office doors.
  • Calendar/Schedule requests need to be in the office by Monday, by noon.
  • No event is scheduled until you’ve gotten confirmation from the office.

 

Announcements

  • Bulletin articles need to be in the office by Wednesday, by noon.
  • Power Point articles need to be in the office by Wednesday, by noon.
  • Newsletter articles need to be in the office on the 15th of each month.
  • Worship Service Announcements need to be in the office by Thursday, by noon.
  • Childcare requests must be in one month prior.
  • Announcement Forms are available above or located by the office doors. They can be filled out and put in the office doors.
  • Articles can also be emailed including all the guidelines on the Announcement Form.
  • Please note that space is limited and the article may be edited.

 

Check Requests

  • Check Request Forms and envelopes are available above and located in the Financial Secretary Office door.
  • Fill out and place with receipt(s) in the door.
  • Check requests must be in to the Financial Secretary's Office by Tuesday, noon.
  • Receipts are needed by Tuesday afternoons–checks are printed on Wednesdays.

    Groups or group members may expend up to $100 of funds budgeted for ministry in accordance with team planning.

    To spend budgeted funds in excess of $100 but less than $500, groups or group members must secure prior approval by the financial secretary.

    Ministry expenditures exceeding $500 require approval of both the team coordinator and the financial secretary.

Resource Access

We are currently renting to two other churches each week at the Wolfe Street location. Therefore, we need to keep our resource equipment, which is located in the Library, under lock and key. If you need to make copies you will have to make arrangements to come during office hours or on Wednesday nights. We understand that this may be inconvenient for some, but this is a change that must to be made.
